Sesame Fried Chicken Wings

This is a great twist on the original fried Wing. This dish is full of flavor and has a great crunch. It is not completely fried so it cuts some but not all of the calories but still keeps the full Flavor. You can still dip these in your favorite dips and sauces or just eat them as is. I serve them with celery and carrot sticks with blue cheese dip for tailgating. You can also make them as a meal as sometimes I often do as well. Here are the ingredients you will need.

2 c. Buttermilk

1/4 c. Sesame Seeds

Salt and Pepper

3 tsp. Italian Seasoning

2 c. Flour

1 1/2 tsp. Seasoned Salt

1 Tbsp. Chili powder

1 lb Chicken Wings

(1) In a large bowl add the Chicken wings, Buttermilk, Sesame seeds, Salt, Pepper and Italian seasoning. Mix around until evenly distributed. Cover with Plastic and chill 30 minutes to 1 hour. Let set at room temperature for 10 minutes before cooking.

(2) In a Large Bowl whisk together the Flour, Salt, Pepper, Seasoned salt, and Chili powder until well mixed. Heat 1/4 cup of Olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Heat the oven to 350*. Dip the chicken wings into the flour mixture to evenly coat and place carefully in the hot pan. Cook 4 minutes on each side until golden. Place onto a sheet pan and bake all of the wings for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from oven and let set 10 minutes before serving. Place on a serving dish or large bowl to serve.
